The following referral process applies to all patients regardless of whether they are emergency or standard appointments.

• In all instances patients MUST have a referral from their GP, specialist or nurse practitioner to attend this practice. This also applies to urgent referrals
• Once the referral is received by WSOG each patient is triaged into the most suitable appointment time by the attending Specialist
• For emergency cases the Specialist on-call will review the patient details and recommend treatment.
• Patients will be contacted directly by WSOG to arrange a suitable appointment time. Please advise the patient that contact is usually within the following week

WSOG have a Doctors’ only Hotline (02) 6056 1999. This phone number is available to doctors needing specialist advise from on call specialists. The number is available 24/7, for advise, to advise an incoming referral or to confirm receipt of the referral
